Description

The Oracle Health is focused on modernizing the Electronic Health Record (EHR) by establishing an AI-first EHR that will serve as our core system of intelligence for healthcare.  Our team is developing applications and services that are critical components of Oracle Health’s re-imagining of the EHR to improve patient care and health outcomes.


As a Principal Member of Technical Staff you will be responsible for development and support of Java based developer platforms and common tooling. You will work to create efficiencies at scale that can be replicated across hundreds of deployed container-based services. You will be able to work alongside developers that use the platform to receive timely feedback which will be fed back into enhancing the platform. In addition to that, you will be work with our domain experts to build applications and services that moderns the EHR by leverage the large pool of Oracle tooling and infrastructure. 


The ideal candidate understands the nuances of development and seeks to improve and automate both the daily tasks as well as the processes that go along with them for both you and those of the consumers of the platform. The ideal candidate will be technically strong with a solid understanding of web-methodologies for Java-based services. In addition, they will be technically strong with performance tuning applications, troubleshooting issues and with observability tools and practices.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Development experience in Java or JavaScript. Micronaut service development framework experience is a plus.
  • Development experience with relational databases. 
  • Strong experience with data structures, algorithms, concurrency, multi-threading, object-oriented design, REST API design. 
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus.
  • Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences. 
  • Ability to drive projects and implementation details, including rapid development for proof-of-concept projects. 
  • Ability to mentor other engineers in the team in processes, technologies, and design methodologies. 
  • Comfortable in a collaborative, agile development environment. 
  • Public Cloud SaaS, PaaS Services and/or related technology experience, Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development.

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
