Hello!!
We are seeking a highly motivated leader to join our team in the cross-linked foam manufacturing department. The successful candidate will manage and lead the production team to meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards while maintaining smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set and adjust all mechanical, pneumatic, and thermal controls for the production line.
  • Possess knowledge of the mixing process, extruder, and ovens.
  • Analyze and solve mechanical problems efficiently.
  • Supervise mold changes, cleaning, and press station setups.
  • Ensure clear communication between management and production employees.
  • Oversee on-the-job training, including directing trainers and managing training completion records.
  • Document and implement continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Determine workforce needs and schedule labor efficiently within budget.
  • Control product quality during the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of product formulas and the ability to adjust production processes when needed.
  • Skilled at identifying production issues and resolving conflicts.
  • Capability to manage and develop associates, including providing training and opportunities for advancement.
  • Competence in production planning, order prioritization, and calculating resource needs.
  • Proven ability to implement cost-saving measures and improve operational efficiency.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with HRIS and safety documentation.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in all work processes.
  • Knowledge of the metric system and familiarity with material weighing SOPs.
  • Experience with general housekeeping in a manufacturing environment.
  • Capable of troubleshooting quality defects and resolving minor mechanical issues.
  • Ability to manage power interruptions and production line start-ups.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
