The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a(n) Production Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Being responsible for the day-to-day operations. Providing direct supervision to production teams to support 24hr operations. Planning daily work schedules to match machine priorities, allocate work assignments and regulate production processes to meet specific daily production requirements. Evaluating employee performance and providing necessary feedback. Utilizing corrective action to resolve conflict and inappropriate behaviour.
Providing appropriate training and instructions to employees on standards and new operating procedures. Reviewing, updating and communicating product standards. Ensuring a safe working environment through formal inspections, correct unsafe behaviors, safety meetings, and utilize proper work methods, procedures, and equipment. Ensuring employees receive training as specified. Providing effective communication to employees through crew meetings, electronic mail, etc.
Leading and developing employees, monitoring and coaching of production employees, providing recognition, policy administration and participating in hiring processes. May include contingent workers. Handling administrative activities such as time reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime, etc.
Monitoring production rates, yields, and quality of products daily and provides feedback to employees on results. Organizing and review changeovers with appropriate staff to minimize downtime. Addressing production issues such as scheduling, quality, run time, etc. Make process suggestions to improve quality and reduce costs. Implement cost reduction programs to ensure the efficient utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university and three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
OR
High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of (8) years of experience in manufacturing
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Previously demonstrated proficiency in people leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred
Leadership, communication, problem solving, mechanical, computer, administrative, and planning skills
Knowledge and experience with Lean systems and tools is an asset
Experience with ERP systems

Onsite Morden, Manitoba Canada
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international
