In the role of Production Supervisor on our swing-shift, you will be responsible for:

Supervising swing-shift employees in a molding manufacturing environment. You will need to plan and assign work, implement and enforce policies and procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Responsible for safety/ quality/efficiency/cost and production team output. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of assigned staff to ensure product conformance to customer specifications and scheduled delivery dates, ensuring the quality, production, scrap, safety, and cost efficiency for the shift
  • Study production schedules and determine machine utilization and capacity constraints for completion of job assignments. Make recommendations for tooling, fixtures, automation, or any other support to help ensure production’s success
  • Assign production work schedules and ensure the training of employees in work methods and procedures 
  • Manage issues related to employee attendance, performance, discipline, termination and staffing.  
  • Provide employee coaching and development to increase subordinates’ skills and capabilities. 
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of employees while maintaining daily and monthly quotas, assuring the highest levels of quality and efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned

 Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • The ability to follow oral and written instructions and to understand, speak and read English
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

 Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience within the medical device industry
  • Previous experience with lean manufacturing concepts

 ADA Requirements:

  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach or otherwise move about frequently
  • Occasional repetitive motion and grasping
  • Occasional climbing to reach areas on machines or racks
  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently
  • Typically sits, grasps items or performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
  • Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 DOE
