What You Will Be Doing:


As a Project Accountant with construction experience, you will manage the financial aspects of multiple high-profile construction projects. Your responsibilities include:



  • Overseeing project accounting for construction projects valued between $20M and $75M

  • Performing detailed cost tracking, budget management, and financial analysis

  • Managing job costing, billing, and preparing project-related financial reports

  • Ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes

  • Collaborating with project managers to track budget variances and assess project performance

  • Utilizing COINS software to process invoices, track project expenses, and generate financial statements

  • Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements for construction projects

  • Maintaining compliance with accounting standards and industry regulations

  • Assisting with audit processes by providing necessary financial documentation


Ideal Candidate:


The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction accounting. You should have:



  • 3+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Experience with COINS accounting software (preferred but not required)

  • Strong understanding of job costing, revenue recognition, and construction-specific accounting practices

  • Proven experience in managing month-end and year-end closing

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, working closely with project managers and cross-functional teams
