Project Accountant

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join their growing team. This role will focus on maintaining an accurate general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with estimating and project management teams to review project budgets, forecasts, and variances, while helping to improve accounting processes for greater efficiency. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with general ledger maintenance, and the ability to work well in fast paced team-oriented environment.

Job Description/Duties

• Assist in maintenance of general ledger and job costing for multiple legal entities.
• Support monthly close process including bank reconciliations, accruals, adjusting entries.
• Process monthly billings and receive/record daily cash receipts.
• Update and maintain lease accounting software.
• Provide support to project management team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance
• 2-3 years experience preferred
• Experience with ERP Software
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Construction/Real Estate Accounting Experience preferred but not required.
