PURCHASING BOOKKEEPER


At Nevell Group Inc. (NGi), we are seeking a skilled and self-motivated bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you’ll handle essential financial tasks, including recording transactions, cross-referencing purchase orders with invoices, and creating streamlined processes to support the Purchasing, Procurement, and AP/AR departments.   • Key Responsibilities:

    • Receive and sort all job cost invoices.

    • Assist the Purchasing team with price confirmation and receipt entry for monthly job cost invoices.

    • Update material and equipment pricing daily for all branches.

    • Enter job quote pricing for all jobs.

    • Assist Accounts Payable with invoice corrections as needed.

    • Track and follow up on credits due.

    • Ensure costs are entered and prepared prior to payment due dates.

    • Generate monthly and quarterly yard/inventory reports.

    • Assist the Purchasing team with generating yard cost job allocations.

    • Support job cost clean-up to resolve unpurchased material costs.

    • Complete additional tasks as directed by the department supervisor.

Computer Skills:



  • Proficiency in company computer systems.

  • Ability to use Excel and Smartsheet effectively.

  • Accurate data entry capabilities.




Qualifications:



  • Three or more years of bookkeeping experience within a construction firm or similar environment.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access, with the ability to learn and use industry-specific software.

  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis tools.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Excellent data entry skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong customer service skills.
