Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting CooperVision Business in extending and enhancing our quality operations information capabilities by producing accurate quality operational reports. Responsibilities include analyzing, documenting, and prioritizing requirements, defining, and writing reports and managing the development, production, and delivery of high quality KPI data to Quality Managers. This individual is deeply knowledgeable in both our business processes and systems that support one or more related business functions. The scope of the role includes working with key business stakeholders to interpret business needs and issues, translate them into actionable reports, develop test scenarios and participate in testing as required.

 



Responsibilities
  • Manage the development, production, and delivery of high quality KPI data to support operational reporting needs for the Quality Packaging and Distribution management team.
  • Respond in a timely fashion to requests for information from stakeholders, ensuring appropriate accuracy and quality standards are always upheld.
  • Development of identification and traceability reporting for lot traceability between systems. 
  • Take ownership of business needs and full understanding of the value to the organization of improved customer service.
  • Ensure all reporting / KPI responsibilities and processes are properly documented, and all reporting materials produced are subject to appropriate controls prior to distribution.
  • Reduce the reliance on spreadsheets by producing appropriate automated reporting solution, utilizing existing tools.
  • Assist in the definition of business processes that ensure the consistency, uniformity, and accuracy of global data.
  • Provide specialist knowledge and support to Quality Operations management and other business stakeholders.
  • Use Business Analysis skills to help diagnose issues and consider the options and solutions required.
  • Assist in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communicates information effectively to and from other departments with the QA team.
  • Data analysis into computer-based collection systems (Access, Excel & Agile), and ERPs or WMS as required.
  • Acts as the QA systems representative and participates with cross functional teams on significant Packaging and Labeling projects 
  • Performs other assignments related to the department as directed by Leadership.

 

Travel Requirements

  • Travel: 5% to 10% travel based on project requirements

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance regulations and methodologies, including Good Documentation Practices.

  • Understands basic Internet and client/server architectures. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Has a good grounding in WMS applications
  • Has a strong understanding of the relationship between business processes and ERP systems

Work Environment:

  • Normal Office environment
  • Ability to perform light to medium physical work and standing for long periods of time, if required depending on the task
  • Extensive contact with employees and external business partners and vendors.
  • Occasional off-hour meetings

 

Experience:

  • Practical working knowledge of logistics processes and systems in several major functional areas, and detailed knowledge in at least one relevant area.
  • Experience working directly in at least one major operational area – Planning, Supply-Chain, Packaging, Distribution, or other production environment
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role

 

Essential IT Experience 

  • Experience in logistics IT includes WMS, preferably with JDA 
  • High level of IT literacy – concepts and terminology
  • Demonstrable experience of working with ERP systems such as BaaN in a fast-paced manufacturing / retail environment.
  • Expert working knowledge of Excel is essential (specifically working with macros, formulas, and VBA).
  • MS SQL Service skills with a sound understanding of OTC processes, preferably with experience in Data Warehouse development.
  • Report writing experience preferably against JDA WMS and using Crystal Reports or similar.
  • Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI preferred

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $66,336.00 and $88,448.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments.  The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.  This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
