Pay range: $95k-$135k

The Regional Human Resources Business Partner is critical to the success of NewGen’s key strategic initiatives. The RHRBP provides human resource support within their assigned region. Partners with Regional Operational leaders to drive business results within the region and at the facility level. Coaches and mentor’s leaders through complex employee relations issues, provides solid HR solutions to business needs and builds and maintains strong relationships with facility leaders and staff. Is a trusted advisor that is sought out for input and guidance. This is a regional field position in the Bay Area and will require onsite visits/support to assigned facilities three to four days a week, to include routine overnight travel. At times, travel to our corporate office in Southern California may be necessary for training and/or meetings.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • As an HR business partner, you will work hands-on with your assigned facilities to provide guidance and support in all matters related to human resources.
  • You will guide your facility leadership to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are up to date and in compliance.
  • Partner with facility leadership on coaching, development, corrective actions, and compliant terminations. Assist facility Administrators with performance reviews process to ensure timeliness, effectiveness, compliance, and equity.
  • Assist with responding to government reporting agencies and keeps up to date with government reporting and regulations affecting human resources.
  • As a coach you will guide facility AP/HR personnel on establishing and maintaining HR systems and compliance at the facility level. Such as employee files, I9 compliance, regulatory postings, leave management, disciplinary and separation actions.
  • Work to resolve issues at the lowest possible level. Escalates issues as appropriate and partners with the Employee Relations Manager on complex employee relation issues to ensure concerns are addressed timely, fairly, and consistently.
  • Ensures compensation guidelines are established and followed. Partners with operations and provides strong salary administration and guidance to leaders to ensure equity.
  • Conducts routine HR audits and participates in Systems Validation Review Process. Identifies areas of risk and opportunities and makes recommendations to facility personnel to ensure HR compliance. Continues to monitor and ensure compliance.
  • Partners with facilities to provide recommendation and tools to assist with talent sourcing, and interviewing. Coaches the hiring team on hiring techniques and talent selection. Ensure facilities are compliant in their interview and selection process.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in HRM or related field, OR a minimum four years’ experience as a HR Manager, OR equivalent combination of education and experience thereof
  • A minimum of one year HR experience in healthcare or long-term care environment required
  • Union and labor relations experience required
  • Multi-site or regional HR support experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to resolve issues at the lowest level possible and knowledge of when to escalate issues as appropriate
  • Ability to build key relationships as a trusted advisor for all levels of employees
  • Possess the ability to influence leadership, guiding decisions resulting in positive outcomes
  • Ninja at multi-tasking, managing multiple priorities, and shifting gears quickly
