About The Job
An opportunity has arisen for a General Manager to join the Chinoiserie in Jumeirah Carlton Tower.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the restaurant providing guidance, encouraging teamwork, and facilitating related professional work processes to achieve high performance standards and liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels to ensure smooth flow of operations.
- Develops the annual restaurant outlet business plan, revenue targets and expense budgets and present for review with the Director of F&B to ensure this is in line with Jumeirah Group policies.
- Monitors customer satisfaction and respond to customer feedback and complaints ensuring procedures are followed to preserve the restaurants and the Group’s positive image.
- Monitors and forecast progress against the plan throughout the year and initiate corrective actions, if required, to drive optimal performance and achieve financial and other business targets.
- Ensures Guests’ dining experience by maintaining consistently high personalised service standards, good food quality and presentation, in line with their expectations.
- Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs; evaluating program results; identifying and tracking changing demands.
- Monitors reports, customer feedback, competitor activities and industry trends to ensure the restaurant concepts, services and menus deliver required business results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks to stay up to date with international trends and to ensure the competitive advantage of the restaurant
- Manages and ensures effective purchasing, stock control and food cost control, selecting good value high quality products in line with the Restaurant concept and budgets, and maintaining availability whilst minimising waste and loss.
- Ensures compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests.
