Safety Administrator
Position Summary:
Grace Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and professional Safety Administrator to oversee the overall well-being and protection of students, staff, and visitors, focusing on physical, spiritual, and mental safety. The Safety Administrator will work closely with school leadership to implement comprehensive safety protocols, foster positive relationships within the school community, and support the Christian mission of the school. This individual will uphold responsibilities related to safety while integrating spiritual care and mentorship, promoting a holistic approach to safety that aligns with the school's values.
Key Responsibilities:

Physical Safety and Security:
- Ensure the safety of all students, staff, and visitors on campus, maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.
- Develop, implement, and update school safety policies, procedures, and emergency response plans in partnership with school leadership and various emergency response teams.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and patrols of school grounds and buildings.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies, disturbances, or incidents, managing situations with a focus on peace and resolution.

Spiritual and Emotional Well-Being:
- Promote a spiritually nurturing environment aligned with Christian values, offering emotional support to students and staff.
- Serve as a student mentor, guiding spiritual and emotional growth, conflict resolution, and mental well-being.
- Lead or support student safety and wellness programs focused on digital safety, anti-bullying, emotional health, and Christian living.

Collaboration with School Administration:
- Partner with the schoolβs leadership team to assess safety risks and implement improvements.
- Lead or participate in safety drills (fire, lockdown, intruder) and ensure staff are well-prepared.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and chaplains to address ongoing safety concerns, incorporating spiritual care where appropriate.

Community and Spiritual Leadership:
- Actively support the mission of Grace Christian Academy by fostering an atmosphere of peace, respect, and Christian character.
- Participate in school chapels, events, and community activities, modeling Christian integrity and servanthood.
- Engage in building relationships with students, parents, and staff to cultivate a culture of trust, safety, and spiritual growth.
Qualifications:
- Background in security, chaplaincy, or related fields, with experience in both safety and spiritual guidance.
- Experience working with youth, preferably in an educational or faith-based setting.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, including physical and emotional well-being.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship-building, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
- A committed Christian, embodying the values and mission of Grace Christian Academy in daily life.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training in school safety protocols (e.g., Standard Response Protocol, Crisis Intervention Training).
- Experience in chaplaincy or spiritual leadership roles, particularly in educational settings.
- Familiarity with the challenges of Christian education and the ability to integrate faith with safety responsibilities.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, with occasional evening and weekend events as needed.
