East West Hauling is looking for a talented and experienced Safety Analyst resource. You should be able to Multitask and resolve issues in high-pressure situations and proactively identify and resolve issues using critical thinking skills.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safety Associate will be responsible for assisting with various safety and security related programs in order to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
  • Direct responsibility will be to ensure compliance with internal and external policies, requirements, and regulations.
  • Reviews and ensures compliance with federal, state, local, DOT and FMCSA regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in claims related work when needed or required.
  • Monitor multiple databases and emails to ensure all documentation is processed and questions are answered in a timely manner. Verify and document all the paperwork like carrier insurance limits and handle requests for carrier insurance renewals.
  • Works closely and in align with Logistics Operations, Accounts and Procurement personnel to accomplish company objectives.
  • Driver Verification for the newly hired drivers. Following up with their drug test results.
  • Maintain trailer annual inspection data and update it in internal software and file in respective trailer files
  • Request for Vehicle/Driver Schedule from our insurance at the end of every month.
  • Develops and provides regular reporting on all safety related metrics, accidents, and other needs as required weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Monitor the National Severe Weather Service for any developments or conditions that may affect interstate commerce and alert clients as necessary

Experience/Abilities

Minimum Position Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED

• Any previous experience in a Human Resource/Recruitment/Safety/Risk role

• Excellent oral/written communication skills

• Strong management and leadership skills

• Excellent operational, consultation and problem resolution skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• High integrity ability to maintain confidential information

• Bachelor's Degree
