Job Description

Dewberry is seeking multiple Road and Bridge Senior Construction Inspectors to work on NJDOT projects in New Jersey. To qualify, candidates must have prior construction inspection experience on NJDOT projects and possess NICET II, III or IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent; NJSAT, ACI – CCTC and Rutgers TCC certifications.  Knowledge of NJDOT SiteManager and previous work experience on NJDOT Operations Projects are also desirable.  Additional requirements include excellent communications skills, ability to read and interpret plans, and specifications, ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Minimum 10 years prior road and/or bridge construction inspection experience on NJDOT  projects.
  • Must possess NICET II, III or IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification preferred.
  • NJSAT, ACI Field Grade I Technician, ACI-CCTC and Rutgers TCC certifications.
  • Knowledge of NJDOT SiteManager and previous work experience on NJDOT Operations Projects are  also desirable.
  • Additional requirements include excellent communications skills, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.
  • Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
  • Ability to repetitively stoop, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 25 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
