Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization - Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure. This team focuses on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. The position requires working with development and support teams, supporting the full life cycle of ADB databases from design to implementation, database management and maintenance, process improvements, and automation to ensure the database infrastructure meets the reliability, scalability,  and SLA requirements. This position also requires coaching and mentoring team members regarding the migration and support activities.


Required Skills:



  • U.S. Citizenship on U.S. soil is required.  This position requires you to be eligible to receive a federal security clearance which requires you to be a U.S. Citizen. 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience

  • Oracle ADB experience

  • Microsoft SQL Server experience

  • Experience migrating from SQL Server to Oracle

  • Experience with SQL Developer tool

  • Experience with PL-SQL and T-SQL

  • Experience with Golden Gate

  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills

  • Good communication

  • Good team working


Preferred Skills:



  • Oracle OCI or other Cloud experience

  • MySQL

  • PostgreSQL

Responsibilities

  • Conversions/Migrations from MS-SQL on-prem solutions to Oracle Autonomous DB (ADB) in Oracle CIoud Infrastructure (OCI).

  • “Lift and shift” of MS-SQL on-prem solutions to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

  • Create automation wherever possible to facilitate migrations, “lift and shift”, change events, or other activities as required. 

  • Securing DB solutions to Federal STIG standards.

  • Issue troubleshooting and resolution.

  • Pro-active incident engagement, intervention, and resolution.

  • Performance monitoring and tuning.

  • Receiving and maintaining Federal clearances (DoD, VA).

  • Once necessary Federal clearances are obtained, participation in Federal on-call DBA rotation.

  • Other responsibilities not specifically called out above, as needed.

US: Hiring Range: from $36.54 to $76.06 per hour; from $76,000 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
