About the role
Denver Technology has an opening in their IT/OT Engineering & Advisory team for a Senior IT/OT Network Engineer. The successful applicants will be focused on the design and implementation of routing, switching and firewalls, as well as some security design along with contributing to larger project designs and deployments.
The position is primarily centred around project deployment and consulting tasks involving the upgrade, remediation, review and analysis of IT and OT environments and infrastructure within their area(s) of expertise. A Senior IT/OT Network Engineer has significant technical and project experience with the ability to complete large (1-2 resource) projects with minimal guidance/oversight along with the ability to complete design and contribute to pre-sales activities for large engagements.
Work can be conducted onsite at client locations or remote from the Denver Technology offices with some minimal travel required. The role is primarily office based, but minor travel and on-site work with customers will be required periodically. There is no on-call requirement for this role, but some after-hours work may be required for deployment activities.

You will have:
- Bachelor’s degree, Tafe Certificate/Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science/Systems/Electrical Engineering etc or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- At least 6 years’ experience in an IT/OT Engineering Role in the required area of specialisation.
- Active Professional or equivalent-level technical Networking/Firewall certification(s) E.g., CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSE, FCP/NSE5-6, CCSE etc or equivalent.
- Knowledge/experience in a second area of technical expertise, (e.g, Load-Balancers, Wi-Fi/Radio, Systems/Servers, Cloud Azure/AWS or equivalent).
- Experienced in the creation of Detailed Design/High-Level Design (HLD)/Low-Level Design Documents.
- General knowledge of the principles of secure IT/OT environment, network, and systems design.
- Experienced in providing technical consulting expertise to organisations
- Experienced in project scoping and pre-sales estimations along with writing/contributing to sections of project proposal documents.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred:
- Experience in the design, deployment, and support of Operational Technology/Industrial Networks.
- Experience in the review and analysis of existing IT/OT environments, systems and infrastructure on area of expertise.
- Experience in reading and interpreting infrastructure and engineering diagrams and extrapolating system requirements and technical queries.
- Previous onsite deployment and/or support experience at Mining, Resource, Industrial and/or Oil & Gas sites/facilities.
