Location: Boise, ID / Non-remote
Position: Full-time, 40hrs / week!
Pay: $60,000/yearly
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Process bi-weekly payroll and related reports for multi-state employees and a +600 employee headcount.
- Interact regularly with all levels of the organization including answering employee questions and maintaining a professional and customer centered service approach.
- Be hands-on for a wide range of payroll matters including and not limited to: o Paying wages, commissions, bonuses and other payments in a confidential and accurate manner and in compliance with applicable laws.
- Have a deep understanding of and how to: o Federal and multi-state tax laws, remit funds to the proper taxing authorities, prepare and file quarterly and annual federal and state reports.
- Assist in developing work-papers in conjunction with annual audit processes. o Ensuring new and current software is implemented correctly, updated regularly, and tested thoroughly before utilizing in day-to-day operations.
- Provide excellent customer service and promptly answer or return all email, text and phone calls.
- Create and maintain professional and positive working relationships with employees and vendors.
- Liaise with our HR Department and Executives for compiling payroll data, employee changes, hires, tenure, turnover and payroll deductions and reports when requested.
- Maintain various filing systems in accordance with record retention policy.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of employee data, wages, accruals, benefits, etc.
- Maintain professionalism and organizational confidentiality.
- Assist with unemployment insurance benefits audit.
- Perform other duties or special projects when assigned.
WHO YOU ARE
- Love payroll and has knowledge of payroll best practices, time & attendance systems, payroll systems.
- Paycor HRIS experience a big plus.
- Familiar with wage and hour law, state and federal regulations.
- Strong math and analytic skills.
- Excellent MS Office Suite skills (Excel, and Word). PC proficiency and 10 key by touch.
- Have exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and a team player who meets commitments and deadlines
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates outstanding troubleshooting, analytical and technical ability
- Professional demeanor with good judgement.
- Excellent communicator with a strong customer service focus to support employees and deescalate situations if needed.
- Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of accounting and business concepts.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, moderate reaching and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional overtime and weekend work and travel to other locations.
- Our positions require successfully completing the pre-employment background check and signing a nondisclosure agreement.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business highly preferred or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience in Payroll at an employer that operates multiple states and has +250 employees.
