Over the past five years, the company has consistently succeeded in delivering large-scale projects for both behind-the-meter and grid applications.

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Senior Project Administrator to join our company in Camberwell, Victoria. The Senior Project Administrator plays a leading role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects. The Senior Project Administrator will be involved in taking projects from site inception through to financial close, managing budget and internal/external resources to secure all necessary planning and secondary approvals required for the construction of the projects.

Your role incudes but not limited to the following:


  • Development of professional relationships at all levels, including a wide variety of Government departments, both State and Federal to gain relevant approvals.

  • Arranging submission of plans to local authorities.

  • Maximise penetration to create ongoing opportunities.

  • Manage communication flow to ensure clear understanding of project progress.

  • Selection of relevant consultants/experts to provide supporting services to specific project needs.

  • Manage output and quality of providers.

  • Active involvement in relevant industry forums to raise company profile.

  • Securing options and leases. Securing site specific permits.

  • Undertake Geotechnical survey.

  • Compliance to Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

  • Monthly project status reporting internally. Monthly project status as required to client needs.

  • Develop, review, and negotiate variations to contracts, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and reviews to verify that all work is being performed according to the project plan and contractual agreements. Identify any deviations from the agreed-upon scope of work and take prompt action to address and rectify issues as they arise.

  • Support project cost forecasting exercises, helping to predict and manage project expenses effectively.

  • Assist with the valuation of monthly progress claims.

  • Supervise pre-site administration related work with building documentation, client approvals and necessary financial approvals.

  • Supervise the onboarding of construction suppliers and trades as necessary.

  • Support customer enquiries and facilitate the resolution of those enquiries.

  • Collect and analyse data associated with projects undertaken, and report on project outcomes.

  • Advise senior management on matters requiring attention and implementing their decisions.

  • Manage project management team and provide support to team members when needed.

Requirements - capabilities and competencies


  • Have a minimum 4 years’ relevant experience in utility scale Battery Energy Storage and Solar farm project development & management with a proven track record.

  • At least Diploma qualification in Project Management.

  • Advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Proven track record of managing development lifecycle of renewable energy projects over 350MW capacity in Victoria and New South Wales.

  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects simultaneously through development lifecycle in Victoria and New South Wales.

  • Previous experience coordinating entire connection process with Ausnet Services and TransGrid.

  • Previous experience managing development application and planning applications with Department of Planning, Industry and Environment as well as Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.

  • Plan projects from conception to implementation.

  • Plan, manage and execute each phase of the project life cycle.

  • Have business acumen and strategic thinking skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Experience in leading and motivating a multidisciplinary team.

  • Experience in Town Planning and the Development Approval process.

  • A sound understanding of construction costs, methodologies & efficiencies.

  • Experience in budgeting, revenue and expense management.

  • Ability to work under pressure and autonomously.

  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
