Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst requires a strong accounting background with 5 - 8 years experience with a solid understanding of analytical models, GAAP reporting and excellent Excel skills. He/she must have a broad base of technical experience with analyzing variances and in addition to accounting skills. Some management experience is helpful where the individual has demonstrated the ability to meet a wide variety of rapidly changing challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculating & maintaining the Product Costing models of the Company, preparing profitability reports by product and customer; assist with the development and management of product pricing strategies
  • Analysing product sales trends, perform industry analysis to establish & maintain company benchmark reports, measure performance of special promotions/FSIs.
  • Reviewing, on a monthly/quarterly basis, the Income Statements for all subsidiaries around the world; investigate variances and prepare summaries
  • Providing information to the management by assembling and summarizing data related to international business; preparing management reports for sales and operating expenses
  • Prepare Pricing Analysis and make recommendations for price changes for specific customers, markets, regions or countries.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly the Cash Collection Percentages of the Top 50 Customers and recommend strategies to improve profitability.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed for meetings with brokers and Retailers.
  • Assist in the development of accounting and financial polices and procedures to ensure the efficient financial operations of the organization and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and financial standards.
  • Take ownership of and manage financial system (Netsuite) improvements/ enhancements.
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by the CFO or company management.

Qualifications

  • Five to eight years of demonstrated accounting experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; at least three years with a manufacturer providing products to US Retailers.
  • Ability to calculate numbers and percentages mentally without a calculator.
  • Strong analytical skills with a working knowledge of US GAAP and GL processing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance plus MBA
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to document processes and procedures.
  • Professionalism, maturity and strong organizational skills.
  • Keen ability to focus, anticipate needs, maintain close attention to detail, and prioritize work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently to meet goals with limited supervision
  • Skilled in preparing financial analysis, financial statements, and financial reports.
  • Excellent Excel skills with knowledge of pivot tables.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
