Position Overview: The Staff Accountant will play a key role in our finance team, responsible for various accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. This role involves assisting with financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, reconciliations, and providing support for financial analysis and audits.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with financial reporting, including preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
2. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
3. Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
4. Perform bank and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
5. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial decision-making.
6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper recording and reporting of financial transactions.
7. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
8. Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
9. Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel. 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions and reporting.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with payroll processing regulations is a plus.
• CPA or relevant certification is preferred but not required.
