System Administrator

Required Qualifications:

• Directly maintaining UNIX (Linux a big plus) systems as a system administrator, which includes:
• Being able to script in shell languages (bash, csh, zsh, dash)
• Being able to program in a scripting language like Python, PERL, Javascript
• Must understand networking / firewall concepts.
• Have knowledge of network HW

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with ansible, chef, or other automation tools preferred.

• Ability to build automation infrastructure partially from scratch that can help build virtual machines, real HW, network/ SDN (Social Defined Network) elements.
• Basic networking knowledge and skills (IP networking, firewalls, wireless)
• Experience with Cloud computing AWS, Kubernetes and/or Google cloud. (Kubernetes is a big plus)
• Has experience with APT, Yum, RPM, or similar package management tools, installations, usage
• Experience with automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform is a plus

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
