The role you’ll contribute\:
The System Director Design and Construction Programs will create a system connectedness and provide strategic direction of cross functional teams among the D&C CoE and all markets within AdventHealth and external partnerships. The System Director is responsible for execution of system-wide strategic initiatives for capital projects in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and organizational guidelines. This individual is an integral member of the system leadership team overseeing integration and development of a governance structure ensuring effective organization, so that the strategy and objectives set forth are implemented in a timely and efficient manner. The Director is expected to have a deep understanding of the service line, the competitive landscape, and the external forces impacting standardization among all regions within AdventHealth. Builds relationships in each region and at corporate services to facilitate and promote the delivery of lowest total cost of services and equipment while maintaining the high levels of quality and patient satisfaction necessary to fulfill our mission. This individual will report to the Executive Director Strategy, Design and Construction. In conjunction with market leaders, the System Director will have oversight for the preparation, planning, and implementation of medical equipment purchases led by the Supply Chain and Business Services team.

Utilize regional subject matter experts to inform rationalization and standardization of the processes, supplies, and technology used within the service line, reducing variation, and increasing efficiency.
- Serve as direct leader of the design and construction program managers
- Manages development and maintaining Center of Excellence Design and Construction standards, guidelines, and playbook

Working in conjunction with regional representatives, define standard framework for how AdventHealth delivers strategy across the organization, with a focus on environmental cleanliness, patient experience, and cost / operational efficiency

Provides leadership, guidance, and oversight of the System Support Program Managers, Design and Construction and System Coordinators

Attract, retain, and develop leaders to ensure expertise and coordination across the system.

Perform management functions of goal setting, performance reviews, employee relations, training, and career development

Works with the Executive Director to create a system of connectiveness among teams to align and ensure consistent care is provided to all patients regardless of point of entry

Supports executions of key initiatives for Center of Excellence in collaboration with the Center of Excellence Cabinet

Supports the development of cross-divisional and cross-disciplined governance across AdventHealth
-
Develop and implement processes to streamline service and create savings for AdventHealth

Works collaboratively with all key stakeholders to ensure timely and successful implementation of key initiatives

Works collaboratively with Governance and cross-divisional teams to support system level negotiations with key strategic partners

Directly interfaces with clinicians and senior leadership for alignment, assuring clinically informed decision-making to promote stability, rationalization, and standardization

Build and manage relationship with divisional leaders and other regional leadership to ensure supply chain is a strategic partner within the region and supply chain strategies are in sync with financial, functional, and operational strategies

Serve as an active business partner with the Governance leaders and Clinical/Operational SMEs in the strategic development and vision across the company

Works closely with Governance Members. Supports System Level Agreements, Joint Ventures and Partnerships.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration or equivalent years of experience
- Minimum of five (5) years in progressive programmatic or leadership experience in the healthcare field.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a health care setting.
- Knowledge of clinical practices and processes.
- Working knowledge of project management, market research and data analytics.
- Exceptional negotiation skills. •Change management facilitation skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, business, or related healthcare professional field highly preferred
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) designation from the American Society of Healthcare Engineering
- LEAN Practitioner Certification from the LEAN Construction Institute
- Evidence Based Design Certification (EDAC) designation from the Center of Health Design
