Stamford Health is Looking for a Fulltime System Analyst II to Join the Information Service Department.
The Systems Analyst II acts as a business/finance liaison to assigned departments within Stamford Health System (SHS) to ensure that Enterprise Business System (EBS) applications function as intended. The candidate will play a key role in researching and resolving software problems as part of daily operational support. The Systems Analyst II works in conjunction with the Team Lead/Manager to implement new solutions, perform training, create documentation, of assigned EBS applications, databases, interfaces, and reports. They must also be familiar with the on-prem/cloud server configuration, client installation, data transfer formats, and application backup and recovery procedures for these applications. Duties also include performing necessary maintenance to further advance EBS applications, and the investigation, resolution, and notification of issues escalated through Service Desk tickets. It is expected that the Systems Analyst II is engaged in the implementation of multiple EBS/HIS modules, lead major EBS release upgrades, as requested. The Systems Analyst II will serve as back up to the Senior System Analyst when necessary.
Acts as a business liaison for assigned departments within the health system to ensure that issues are uncovered and recognized before they become critical problems. The System Analyst II not only understands core system processes / interdependencies for these departments, but trains co-workers and aids in the research of reported issues and the implementation of resolutions.
· Serves on interdisciplinary/hospital committees representing IS in driving the use and application of the electronic solutions
· Identify and resolve workflow issues – propose new workflows to optimize electronic solutions
· Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex business issues and provides systems solutions that improve business operations. The System Analyst II will multi-task across additional applications.
· Provides ongoing maintenance and advancement of assigned applications, databases, interfaces, and reports through effective implementation of solutions, which support the user and application needs of the organization. In this capacity, the System Analyst II is responsible for implementation, testing, training, documentation, and ongoing operational efforts of the ERP application software. Familiarity with the server configuration, client installation, data transfer formats including HL7 layouts and application backup and restoration procedures for each of their applications.
· Provides input to the Team Lead /Manager on the planning and design of applications.
· Independently manage maintenance projects ensuring the applications are at the most recent release.
· Works effectively as part of a team in resolving issues escalated through the Help Desk in a timely manner. Investigates, tests, solves problems with application software, databases, interfaces, and reports. Provides high level of customer service and appropriate coverage off-hours for critical problems ensuring Service Level Agreements are met. Actively participates in the process of identifying service issues with the outsourced Help Desk and recommending solutions.
· Plan, Design, and Implement assigned applications on schedule while assisting the Lead Analysts with the promotion / acceptance of process workflow redesign. This effort includes software evaluation, project management, process change, application training, dictionary build, application testing, integration testing, data conversion and production support. The System Analyst II will also ensure the use of role-based access.
· Assume responsibility for application related project efforts by coordinating with IS and other departments as necessary to ensure proper communication and execution. This includes design and architecture definition as appropriate, project planning, change management coordination, vendor integration and coordination, user / department communication / notification, etc.
· Manages each project following the standard IS methodologies and processes.
· Performs other related duties as assigned or requested to maintain a high level of service.
· Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.
· Demonstrates professional work behavior by following Service Standards and Success factors. Complies with departmental organizational policies and procedures and adheres to external agency requirements.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training is required.
· At least 2-3 years’ experience with appropriate Document Management Systems (DMS) and Time Management applications support is required.
· Strong, demonstrable experience implementing and supporting these applications in any industry; but healthcare experience is preferred.
· Experience with Hyland OnBase is preferred. Experience in Kronos, Oracle ERP application can be plus.
