Key Responsibilities:
The Paraprofessionals / Teachers Assistants assist Special Education Teachers and General Education Teachers in planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of children within a safe, healthy learning environment. They encourage the involvement of the foster/adoptive families in the program and support the development of relationships between children and their families.

Education – High school diploma or equivalent
Experience – Minimum of 3 years’ prior relevant teaching assistant experience working with children with developmental and intellectual and/or physical disabilities.
Skills – Ability to think and act independently. Advanced oral and written communication skills.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
