The Role:
The Finance Systems Business Analyst is a full-time position responsible for analyzing finance system business problems and implementing solutions in our corporate technology platforms. The business analyst supports the finance user community , elicit, configure, manage requirements and specifications as well as execute a variety of testing disciplines (test plans, scripts, unit testing and user acceptance) to drive development and validate results. The Finance Business Analyst will report to the head of Corporate Applications.
This role is both strategic and hands on with a strong ability to communicate objectives, configure finance systems, develop plans and deliver results.
Responsibilities:
Deliver requirements, product configuration and user acceptance testing management
Evaluate the solution options, configure, demo and make recommendations within context of finance D365 & other tech platforms.
Work with global finance teams to deliver product configuration and support that can scale across countries.
Manage small projects related to finance platforms
Facilitate requirements review and design sessions with business owners
Maintain Business Use Case and Process Flows with requirement changes
Liaison between the business and technical solutions delivery team
Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized technical and business presentations
Deliver daily and weekly progress metrics
Train users in using the system according to process best practices
Provide business as usual support
Required Capabilities:
5+ years of implementing D365 F&O/AX ERP applications with specific knowledge of finance accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable & finance reporting modules
Advanced Excel skills, in particular around data validation, pivot tables and reporting financial data
Excellence in communication, collaboration, business presentations and meeting facilitation
Expert in business workflow modeling
Expert in project and product planning
Thorough understanding of GAAP accounting
Thorough understanding of SOX
Thorough understanding of source control, unit testing, and continuous integration practices
Thorough understanding of relational database design
Desired Capabilities:
Experience with planning tools such as Oracle HFM, Workiva
Experience using SAP Concur
Experience and skilled in SQL and other query languages.
Experience with Lean and Agile (Scrum) development methodology
Location:
This is a hybrid role, based in our Los Angeles office, with office hours from 9:00 - 6:00pm.
Compensation:
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $122,000 - $162,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
