Tenure Track Faculty Position, Chemical Engineering/Chemistry
Louisiana Tech seeks applicants for one or more full-time tenure-track faculty positions in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or closely related disciplines with research aligned with our new Forestry Products Innovation Center.
A Ph.D. is required in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Expertise and/or interest is expected in the characterization or research of forest products and by-products. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to teach, conduct research, design studies, analyze and interpret data, publish manuscripts in professional journals, transfer information to users, and write funding proposals. The candidate selected for this position must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States when the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are required. A strong commitment to collaborative, cross-disciplinary research is especially desirable.
The Chemical Engineering program at Louisiana Tech University is an ABET accredited program with a growing undergraduate enrollment of approximately 200 students. The Chemistry program offers ACS-certified undergraduate degrees with approximately 100 students. The College has over 140 Ph.D. students in four programs (Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computational Analysis and Modeling, and Molecular Science and Nanotechnology) and over 190 M.S. students.
