You will be responsible for coordinating vehicle and driver schedules, and solving issues which arise due to schedule changes and customer needs. Responsibilities
- Liaison between Operations and Maintenance
- Schedule drivers and buses accordingly
- Communicate with drivers regarding schedule, bus assignment and customer needs
- Verify drivers' hours of service and fit-for-duty requirements
- Visual inspection of license, medical card and driver logs
- Document tardiness, call-offs, and driver issues
- Respond in real time to schedule changes, driver issues, traffic, and bus issues daily
- Deliver first-class service to all customers and employees
- Liaison with customers, escalating issues to Management when needed
Requirements
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and/or nights depending on operational needs
- Experience in Transportation industry or relevant training. Experience in Charter Bus industry is a plus!
- Knowledge of safety rules, hours of service, federal and state regulations for facilities and operators
- Minimum 1-year experience dispatching in Transportation industry
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
