Responsibilities

The Team Member will perform a variety of responsibilities in the operation, ensuring alignment with our Core Values and Brand.



  • Understanding and following Westview Co-op’s Health and Safety Program and promoting a culture of safety

  • Providing professional, people-first, Guest service 

  • Living our Brand expectations through our “You’re at Home Here” motto.

  • Operate equipment such as telehandlers, skid steers, forklifts, tandem axial truck, 1-ton truck

  • Load/unload lumber, equipment and other products as needed

  • Deliveries 

  • Assisting the Sales Team as required

  • Other projects and assignments as required 

This position will require the use of equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, as well as lifting heavy products. Frequent operating/driving of company vehicles is required with deliveries.  

Requirements

We are looking for a positive, approachable and motivated individual with a drive to learn.  Candidates will demonstrate the following:

   Understanding of our Values (Integrity, Community, Teamwork)



  • Professional, people-first, Guest service skills 

  • A valid Class 3 Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract according to company policy

  • Completion of Criminal Record Check is required

  • Strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Quality communication skills 

  • Ability to work effectively with others

This is a full-time position, the candidate will have the ability to work days, evenings and weekends for approximately 40 hours per week.

Class 3 license is required, with Class 1 being an asset, and the ability to tow trailers.  Willing to train the right candidate.
