Job Title: Standing Guard

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Summary: Ensures security for property, building fixtures and personnel in a professional and efficient by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Protects property as directed to prevent any type of loss, accident, injury or safety violation.*
  2. Performs Make periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.*
  3. Reports any loss, accident, injury or safety violation to internal company management.*
  4. Responds to conflicts, medical and operational emergencies or natural disasters in an efficient manner.*
  5. Provide assistance to people in need.
  6. Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property.
  7. Respond to incidents of fire, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents by assessing the situation.
  8. Control access to unauthorized persons
  9. Enforce post orders and directives of the site pertaining to security regulations or personnel, visitors, and premises
  10. Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
  11. Secure all exits, doors and windows after the end of operations
  12. Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
  13. Completes activity reports each day.*
  14. Completes incident reports as needed.*

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Guard Card required.
