The ALS Society of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia is a registered nonprofit organization committed to ensuring quality care for individuals living with ALS, raising public awareness about the disease and its effects, and supporting research aimed at finding a cure.

We invite qualified candidates to express their interest in serving as Volunteer Treasurer at the societyβs head office in Dartmouth. This role offers flexible hours, with an expected commitment of approximately 2 hours per month.
As the Volunteer Treasurer, your responsibilities will include overseeing general accounting and financial reporting tasks such as:
The ideal candidate will possess a CPA and have a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience. You are a confident self-starter with a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment and have a passion for supporting non-profit work.
Strong attention to detail, time management skills, along with professional spoken and written communication skills are essential. Experience with QuickBooks is an asset.
