CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Designer to join our Infrastructure – Water/Wastewater Team at our office in Coral Springs, FL.

Clean and safe water and wastewater management is vital for every community’s well-being. CHA delivers environmentally friendly and cost-effective water, wastewater and stormwater projects. We offer full engineering and support services for industrial and municipal systems from initial planning through permitting, design, bidding, construction administration, start-up, certification, and ongoing operational assistance.

 

At CHA, our Water/Wastewater Engineering Designer is responsible for the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract or construction drawings and/or documents. The professional in this role collaborates with senior engineering designers, mentors junior engineering designers, and collaborates with design teams on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

 

The Water/Wastewater Engineering Designer produces and revises routine drawings or sketches related to the engineering design with minimal oversight from senior staff, and is familiar with company standards, client expectations and typical engineering practices. This individual prepares project “As-Builts” documentation, and field assignments when appropriate.

 

The Water/Wastewater Engineering Designer uses drawing production software (REVIT, AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.) to create construction documents.

REQUIREMENTS






  • Associates Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science or related technical field is required
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience of document production experience in the related engineering discipline
  • Demonstrates a solid working knowledge about the respective engineering discipline
  • Proficient with discipline-based software (REVIT, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, etc.).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite








SALARY RANGE:






$75,000 - $93,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
