We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our Client Reporting team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience working with SQL, and a background in business and systems analysis. This role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively liaise between business users and development teams.       

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for client reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
  • Utilize SQL to analyze data, validate outputs, and support troubleshooting efforts.
  • Manage and track project requirements, issues, and progress using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Assist in testing and validating client reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee mock and production runs for quarterly statements and coordinate with other IT teams.
  • Facilitate communication between business users and the development team, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables.
  • Provide ongoing support for enhancements and issue resolution related to client reporting.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience

  • Minimum experience 1-year Mutual Funds/Securities industry.
  • Previous business analyst/analytical experience an asset.
  • Understanding of financial services, client reporting, or tax reporting processes is a plus.

Education/Training

  • Post Secondary Education
  • Canadian Securities Course or IFIC Sales

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of CI GAM’s products.
  • Knowledge or familiar with agile methodology
  • Working experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong Excel skills. 

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and meet set deadlines.
  • Able to effectively organize and plan projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including business users, developers, and QA.
  • Works well independently.
