Our client is on the hunt for a Compliance Officer to join their team and lead the charge in maintaining their reputation as a trusted, compliant operator in the regulated gambling sector.

The Role:
Our client takes pride in delivering exceptional gaming experiences while upholding the highest standards of compliance and integrity. With a footprint in the UK and Ontario markets, they’re expanding rapidly and are looking for a compliance expert to help them stay ahead of regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of responsible gaming.


As a Compliance Officer, you'll report directly to the Head of Compliance and play a pivotal role in shaping the compliance strategy. From collaborating with regulatory bodies to training staff and refining policies, your work will ensure that our client remains a leader in safe and compliant operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the Regulatory Expert: Liaise with regulatory, legislative, and trade bodies to ensure full compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal departments and the Marketing team to ensure that advertising, product offerings, and promotions are fair, compliant, and impactful.

  • Elevate Safer Gambling: Develop and enhance Safer Gambling policies, ensuring all staff are trained and customers are protected.

  • Optimise Processes: Review and improve policies around KYC, AML, and EDD, keeping the organization ahead of industry standards.

  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to processes and controls.

  • Audit & Innovate: Conduct regular compliance audits, identify risks, and support initiatives like mergers, acquisitions, and platform innovations.

  • Support Data Protection: Work alongside the DPO to ensure robust compliance with data protection regulations.

  • Drive Change: Represent the Compliance team in projects, incident management, and training programs to build a compliance-first culture.

What You Bring:

  • Proven Expertise: 3+ years in a compliance role, ideally within the regulated gambling industry.

  • Knowledge & Insight: Strong understanding of UK and Ontario gambling regulations, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Safer Gambling, advertising standards (ASA/CAP), and CMA guidelines.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in process design, statistical analysis, and internal audits.

  • Exceptional Communication: Ability to present complex ideas clearly and interact effectively with diverse teams.

  • Adaptability & Drive: Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a desire to lead change and continually enhance your role.

  • Attention to Detail: Impeccable accuracy in reviewing policies, reports, and communications.

  • Leadership Ability: Experience designing and delivering impactful training programs.

  • Self-Motivation: Capable of working independently while driving collaborative outcomes.
