Role: The Deposit Support Partner provides financial services of superior quality and convenience through the processing and distribution of incoming/outgoing mail for the credit union, processing mailed deposit transactions or requests and maintaining the safe deposit program. This position preserves daily work and member records according to retention policies and often reaches out to members, collaborates with internal team members, or external contacts regarding research requests or subpoenas.

Pay: The pay for this position is $19.39 an hour.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Performs daily deposit support operations functions, including one or more, but not limited to: processes/posts all incoming mail and courier delivered deposits, sorts and distributes deliveries and interoffice mail, fulfills internal supply requests, maintains safe deposit box program, and processes verification of deposits.
  • Handles subpoena requests for the credit union, including contacting the member, law firms or law enforcement.
  • Scans and archives deposit transaction daily work for the credit union and member records according to retention policies. Assists with maximizing the archival tools for the organization.
  • Responds to employee and member research requests by utilizing company policies. Researches and explores potential solutions to provide alternatives. Follows escalation processes to direct employee or member to appropriate team member as needed.
  • Collaborates with Deposit Operations and Quality Assurance Manager on department projects to build efficiencies for the credit union.
  • Maintains knowledge of all Credit Union products, services, and promotions.
  • Contributes to efficient Credit Union operations by performing other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes and/or seasonal brightness through windows. This position may involve periodic stressful conditions. The Credit Unions business days are Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; however, this position may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and to include evening/weekend hours. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
