Legal Assistant - New Client Coordinator

LaBovick Law Group is seeking a highly organized Legal Assistant to support our Personal Injury team in opening new client files. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of personal injury cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open personal injury case files and manage all related documentation.
  • Request and review reports, medical records, and other case-related documents.
  • Maintain constant communication with clients, providing updates and responding to inquiries.
  • Send and track client communications, including update letters and responses.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, enhancing their ability to effectively manage cases.
  • Utilize our Practice Management Platform, Litify, for all document handling and case management tasks.
  • Initiate claims with insurance carriers and generate necessary correspondence such as welcome letters and representation notifications.
  • Coordinate and communicate the file review schedule to clients and internal team member
  • Maintain and organize essential electronic files and documentation.
  • Manage copying, scanning, and printing of important legal documents.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for attorneys, ensuring accuracy in calendar management.
  • Handle requests for initial Personal Injury Protection (PIP) logs and medical records.
  • Obtain account balances from providers and manage the preparation and distribution of cost bills.
  • Assist in drafting closing statements and negotiating bill reductions.
  • Regularly update clients and maintain clear, open lines of communication throughout case proceedings.
  • Contribute to the closure of electronic case files efficiently and meticulously.
