Prepare financial statements and analyses for assigned portfolios according to deadlines & requirements to ensure accuracy, internal controls, and timeliness.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues, investors, and upper management teams.
Update cash and reconcile bank statements weekly & monthly and analyze cash flow, accounts payable, and recurring expenses.
Assist with ensuring all financial operating obligations are met promptly collaborating with onsite and operation staff.
Record sound journal entries & accruals and take financial ownership of the designated portfolio.
Complete the monthly Excel balance sheet reconciliations and schedules providing additional support to monthly financials.
Accurately record income, expenses, and changes in assets and liabilities every month.
Assist with year-end audit requests and ensure accounting standards and policies are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; equivalent progressive experience welcome.
Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
Property management software - Onesite Accounting and Yardi are a plus.
Work Environment:
The role is hybrid after 90 days subject to successful work performance. One day work-from-home with an option for an additional day after 180 days.
