Job Description
Our client company is seeking a Sr Financial System Analyst to join their busy team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial systems, internal controls, ERP implementation, and system integration. This is a critical position, ensuring the financial systems are efficient and scalable, providing support to the finance department.
Duties will include;
- Financial Systems Management including oversight of the day-to-day operation of financial systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
- Maintain financial system configurations to support business needs
- Optimize financial processes and participate in ERP Implementation
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of ERP systems to improve financial processes and reporting capabilities
- Gather requirements, define project scope, and develop detailed project plans
- Manage ERP project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
- System Integration processes and maintenance
- Code Part Maintenance: Manage and maintain code parts, including general ledger accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and other key financial dimensions.
- Data Integrity, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all financial areas
- Chart of Accounts Maintenance
- Reporting and Analysis; develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to provide insights into financial performance
- Develop reports and dashboards in ERPs and reporting tools like Power BI
- Continuous Improvement
- The ideal candidate’s background will include;
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
- CPA, CFA, CISA would be considered an asset
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems analysis, internal controls, and ERP implementation
- Experienced with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) and financial system integration
- Experience with IFS is an asset
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools like SQL, Power BI, Azure and advanced working knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and internal controls
- Proficient in ERP systems, financial software, and reporting tools
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
