Job Overview:
 
We are looking for a Senior Network Architect/Senior Staff Network Engineer to design, architect, Implement, support and play the role of an architect for Enterprise and Datacenter Networks, Network security and SAAS solutions. This candidate will collaborate closely with Global Network Team, Compute Infrastructure Team, Security and other Business Stakeholders to understand the Business needs and design comprehensive Network and IT solutions. They will contribute to Global Network Engineering Team in reviewing the overall design, architecture and suggestions for continuous improvement.
The position will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our networks for our users and customers. The position will support the team to execute a playbook while staying focused on the expected output.

 

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Design, plan, implement highly available Datacenter Network for Coupang.
  • Deploy Centralized management, Monitoring and auto detection systems.
  • Collaborate with Architects to build a scalable and lasting IT solution.
  • Ensure adequate Network security and closely work with Infosec team to build Highly Secure Network Infra.
  • Ensure Network configuration and compliance management
  • Explore continuous improvement areas for enhancing Availability, Scalability and experience.
  • Collaborate with Datacenter Facilities team and other Infrastructure teams.
  • Deploy Secure access mechanism.
  • Automate deployment and operational tasks.
  • Network issues resolution and unambiguous Root cause Analysis.
  • Mentor Junior Team members
  • Effectively Communicate with users and stakeholders.

 

Basic Qualifications   

  • At least 15+ years of Network experience
  • Experience in Large Datacenter Design, implementation and Support
  • Proficient in routing protocols-BGP, OSPF etc.
  • Excellent Hands-on Experience in Cisco Nexus Switches, ACI, NDI, VXLan etc.
  • Arista/Juniper Knowledge will be an advantage
  • Experience in WAN Integrations-MPLS, SDWAN etc.
  • Sound knowledge of Enterprise Wi-Fi and switching technologies,
  • Should have good experience in Datacenter Load balancers.
  • Good Knowledge of Traffic Engineering and QOS.
  • Design and architecture of Datacenter, Enterprise networks.
  • Experience in Zero Trust Network access, SSE, SDWAN and SASE Technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI Network Infrastructure will be an advantage.
  • Exposure to Next Generation Firewalls
  • Solid background in Network Fundamentals and IT Security
  • Excellent Communication, documentation skills.
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis.
  • Solid understanding of network operating systems
  • PG/Graduation/Diploma in Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Update on the emerging Network, Security and Infrastructure technologies.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CCIE, CCNP, JNCIP, ACE etc.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 

Pay & Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.
The base pay for this position ranges from $171,100/year in our lowest geographic market to $315,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
