Minimum EducationBachelor's Degree Finance or Accounting (Required)
Minimum Work Experience1 year In the accounting field using a large ledger system; public accounting experience. (Required)
Required Skills/KnowledgeThorough knowledge of GAAP. Complete understanding of the entire financial process, including all aspects of accrual accounting.
Experience with computerized accounting systems and spreadsheet software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Able to meet deadlines and work cooperatively with individuals both inside and outside the organization.
Functional AccountabilitiesDepartmental Operations- Use automated methods to the fullest extent possible to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
- Ensure adequate retention and storage of corporate financial records.
Financial Reporting- Prepare GL entries required to record the activities of the accounts being monitored.
- Assist with the monthly financial close process.
Financial Analysis- Prepare account reconciliations and analysis.
- Perform research to comply with departmental monthly performance requests.
- Assist with special projects and provide support to the Accounting Managers.
Safety- Speak up when team members appear to exhibit unsafe behavior or performance
- Continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation
- Stop in the face of uncertainty and takes time to resolve the situation
